Monroe County Community College
Located in Monroe, Michigan, Monroe County Community College offers a registered respiratory therapist (RRT) program leading to the completion of a 76-credit associate degree in respiratory therapy. To begin the program, students must compete several prerequisite classes, including biology, mathematics and chemistry. However, the college recommends applying for the respiratory therapy program prior to completing these prerequisites to avoid a long wait to start the program. Applicants must submit to a drug test and background check to be considered for admission.

Ferris University
Ferris University, located in Big Rapids, Michigan, offers an RRT program leading to the completion of an associate of applied science degree in respiratory therapy. To be considered for admission to the program, applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.7 and have earned a minimum grade of B- in all mathematics and science courses. To graduate from the program, students must earn a minimum grade of C in all core respiratory therapy courses.

Oakland Community College
Located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Oakland Community College offers two respiratory therapy program. One program, called the traditional model, is a full-time, five semester program. The other program, called the integrated model, is a part-time, seven semester program. Applicants are evaluated for admission in two priority levels, Priority I and Priority II. To be a Priority I applicant, applicants must complete 13 specific courses, including biology, chemistry, mathematics and psychology, with a minimum grade of C. Priority II applicants must have completed a minimum of 24 credits with a minimum grade of C.
