Bible colleges believe in teaching the word of God through college studies.
Though students can study religion at any college, bible colleges are specifically designed with religion in mind. Seattle, Washington is home to only one Bible College, however, there are four within short driving distance.
Seattle Pacific University
Founded in 1891 by Free Methodist Pioneers, Seattle Pacific University has 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Northwest University
The Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God founded Northwest University in 1934. The school is located approximately 20 minutes from Seattle and is a regionally accredited Christian college that offers associate, baccalaureate and master's degrees.

Seattle Bible College
Roy C. Johnson, pastor of Philadelphia Church in Seattle, Washington, founded Seattle Bible College by petitioning to have a training facility for the churchgoers of schooling age in the early 1950s. The actual college was opened in 1955. Originally located in Seattle, the college relocated to Everett in 2006, approximately 30 minutes from Seattle. The school seeks to "embrace, model and teach the Word of God, the ways of God and the work of God, in and through the power of God," according to its website.

Trinity Lutheran College
Once called the Lutheran Bible Institute of Seattle, Trinity Lutheran College was founded in 1944 and is located in Everett, Washington, approximately 30 minutes from Seattle. The school offers associate degrees for Biblical studies and bachelor's degrees in 10 majors and 12 minors.

Opening in 2001, Tacoma Bible College offers religious studies and student activities for people who want to "walk with God," according to its website. Located in Tacoma, approximately 40 minutes from Seattle, the college focuses on honing students knowledge of the bible, along with refinement of their social attitudes and skills.
