X-Ray Technicians, also referred to as radiologic technologists or technicians, are trained and educated in performing examinations in diagnostic imaging. Some prefer to specialize in areas such as magnetic resonance imaging or computer tomography. Whether you want to be a radiologic technologist or train in a specialized area, there are schools in Seattle that offer these programs.
North Seattle Community College
North Seattle Community College offers a program in radiologic technology to obtain an Associate of Applied Science degree. This school works with Bellingham Technical College with this degree, and the program is a full-time program that lasts for seven quarters. Students who are accepted into this program are hosted by North Seattle Community College, but will take classes at Bellingham; the program begins in the fall semester of each year. The curriculum taught in this program is approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists as meeting the educational objectives that have been established by the ASRT themselves.
