Colleges That Offer Radiology Tech Programs In Missouri Or Kansas

Radiology techs earn an average of $53,230 to work with imaging technology in health care settings.


Radiology technology students learn work with patients and X-ray technology on a professional basis. Most states require radiologic technologists to undergo periodic radiation-safety training, according to the College Board. The field has bright job prospects. The College Board reports that radiology tech jobs are expected to grow faster than average through 2018, and that the average salary is $53,230.

East Central College offers a 26-course, 70.5-credit associate’s degree program in radiologic technology. Among the skills students learn are patient positioning, radiologic safety and film processing. Students have the opportunity to participate in clinical experience courses.

Hutchinson Community College’s 24-month program in radiologic technology is offered in partnership with several hospitals and health care centers that help students gain practical, hands-on experience. Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) throughout the program. Graduates earn an associate in applied science (AAS) degree.
