3. Venture a few miles outside the city to one of the many nearby campgrounds, where you can pitch a tent and sleep under the stars.
4. Book your luxury accommodations on the Boardwalk at one of the casino hotels. Stay in the middle of everything, just steps away from all the activities and excitement Atlantic City has to offer.
5. Head a few blocks off the beaten path to find luxury accommodations (three stars for the most part) and a more relaxed atmosphere.

6. Pack a sweater or jacket for the nighttime. Even in the summer months, the temperature can drop signifcantly at night.
7. Avoid dressing in dark colors in June, July and August. Atlantic City, New Jersey has a biting fly called the green head, which is attracted to dark clothing.
8. Slather on sunscreen. The sun and humidity can be a bit intense in the summer months, so remember to hydrate and protect your skin.

13. Visit the Ocean Life Center. The center holds over 30,000 gallons of aquariums and can be a great trip on a rainy day.
14. Take the kids to the beach in the summer. Relax and catch some rays while the kids entertain themselves in the water or in the sand.
15. Enjoy the Boardwalk at night. Atlantic City offers a variety of bars and clubs. Most clubs require only casual wear, but some adhere to a strict dress code. Be sure to call ahead to check.
