Clean Records

Learn to clean vinyl records.

Record collecting is a hobby for some and an obsession for others. For the avid vinyl collector, regular cleaning and maintenance is crucial to maintaining the audio integrity of a record collection. Records that sit for long periods of time collect dust and debris, and if you attempt to play a vinyl record without cleaning it first, the dust and debris can cause damage to your record. Cleaning your vinyl often and regularly is one of the best ways to preserve your record collection.

Instructions

1. Take the record out of its package, and then place it in your record player, or on a soft paper towel or mat.

2. Apply Discwasher D4 cleaning liquid to the applicator brush that came with the cleaning kit. Never apply the cleaning fluid directly to the record.

3. Place the applicator brush on the records surface. Rotate the record in the counter-clockwise direction until you have applied the cleaning fluid to the entire face of the record.

4. Flip the record over, and then repeat Step 3.
