Springfield Massachusetts Technical Schools

Learn a trade at a Springfield technical school.

Students who are sure of their desired career path may select a technical school over a traditional four-year university. Technical schools, which often train students within two years, allow students to immediately delve into their fields, learning new techniques and processes without having to take years of general electives and requirements unrelated to their career path. Technical schools offer a variety of subjects, with graduates earning degrees, diplomas and certificates. In Springfield, Massachusetts, technical schools offer students the chance to learn a number of trades.

Springfield Technical Community College

Students enrolling in Springfield Technical Community College may earn an associate of science degree or technical certificate in many areas, such as Commercial Art, Creative Writing, Dental Hygiene, Finance, Biology, Dental Assistant, Digital Photography, Massage Therapy, Programming, Sonography and Surgical Technology. Coursework may transfer to a Massachusetts four-year school after the student completes the two-year program at Springfield. Students may get involved in Springfield's sports teams (including golf, soccer, basketball, lacrosse and wrestling), join the campus council or take advantage of the school's computer laboratories and career placement services.
