New Jersey radiology courses are offered by both hospitals and community colleges.
Those interested in taking courses in radiology in New Jersey should seek programs accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology, as well as the New Jersey Board of Radiologic Technology Examiners. Schools in New Jersey offer certificate programs, associate degrees and bachelor's degrees.
Cooper University Hospital
Cooper University Hospital's School of Medical Radiography offers an accredited, full-time, two-year program leading to a radiologic technologist certificate. To gain admission to the program, individuals must contact the School of Medical Radiography. Applicants are required to have successfully completed college-level courses in English composition, intermediate algebra or precalculus, anatomy and physiology, biomedical ethics and medical terminology. Over the past five years, an average of no less than 75 percent of Cooper graduates passed the national credentialing exam.

Muhlenberg Schools
Muhlenberg Schools of nursing, medical imaging and therapeutic sciences, with three campuses in New Jersey, offer a certificate in radiography, which may be used as a steppingstone to an associate degree from Union County College or a bachelor's degree from Thomas Edison College. Both daytime and evening courses are fully accredited. Students earn 37 radiology credits with the Muhlenberg Schools and matriculate to a degree, if desired. After completion of the 24-month certificate program, students are eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists board examination in radiography.

Shore Memorial Hospital
Shore Memorial Hospital's School of Radiologic Technology offers a full-time, 24-month program leading to a certificate in radiologic technology. Students must take and maintain a grade of C or better in a list of college courses, including anatomy and physiology, basic algebra and English composition. The hospital also has an agreement with Widener University for students who wish to continue their education and receive an associate or bachelor's degree. The certificate program provides 51 credits for students interested in matriculating.
