This prison camp is officially referred to as Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, Alderson Federal Prison Camp, or FPC Alderson, but it also bears the distinguished nickname "Camp Cupcake" and was once home to homemaker extraordinaire Martha Stewart. This minimum-security federal prison camp is in West Virginia. Alderson was the very first federal women's prison to be opened, and was established at the encouragement of two former first ladies, Eleanor Roosevelt and Florence Harding.
