Florida Radiologic Technology Schools

Radiologic techs work with X-ray equipment.

Florida has a number of schools offering radiologic technology training. Radiologic technicians, also called radiographers, use X-ray equipment to make images of bones and tissues in the human body to diagnose fractures, diseases and other medical conditions. Radiologic technologists may also have training in other imaging techniques, including mammography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Radiologic techs work in hospitals, clinics and other medical facilities, interacting directly with patients and reporting to physicians. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for radiologic techs is projected to grow at least through 2018.
