3. Venture a few miles outside the city to one of the many nearby campgrounds, where you can pitch a tent and sleep under the stars.


4. Book your luxury accommodations on the Boardwalk at one of the casino hotels. Stay in the middle of everything, just steps away from all the activities and excitement Atlantic City has to offer.


5. Head a few blocks off the beaten path to find luxury accommodations (three stars for the most part) and a more relaxed atmosphere.

6. Pack a sweater or jacket for the nighttime. Even in the summer months, the temperature can drop signifcantly at night.


7. Avoid dressing in dark colors in June, July and August. Atlantic City, New Jersey has a biting fly called the green head, which is attracted to dark clothing.

15. Enjoy the Boardwalk at night. Atlantic City offers a variety of bars and clubs. Most clubs require only casual wear, but some adhere to a strict dress code. Be sure to call ahead to check.
