Located in Palm Springs, the West Palm Beach location Medvance Institute is approximately 14 minutes, or 10 miles, from Palm Beach. Lincoln Culinary Institute is only 16 minutes, or 7 miles, from Palm Beach in the neighboring community of West Palm Beach. A culinary academy designed to prepare students for employment as chefs, the school grants one-year diplomas in culinary arts and baking and pastry. Classes consist primarily of hands-on practice or laboratories where students hone their skills in food preparation techniques. In addition to participating in federal and state financial aid programs, the institute offers a limited number of needs-based and merit scholarships for students. A sister school to the Lincoln Culinary Institute, Lincoln Technical Institute is also in West Palm Beach--in the same building. The technical school offers 18- to 24-month associate degrees and 9- to 12-month diplomas in automotive technology, business management, dental assisting, medical assisting, medical administration, cosmetology and heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Students spend approximately half of their time in classroom setting and the other half gaining hands-on practice. Financial aid, scholarships and career placement services are all offered at the technical institute.

Situated in Greenacres, Palm Beach Medical Career Institute is 25 minutes, or 14 miles, from Palm Beach. The school offers diploma programs in surgical technology and medical billing and coding as well as an advanced certificate for working licensed practical nurses and surgical technologists in surgical assisting. Palm Beach Medical Career Institute requires an in-person interview. Students must also take a college entrance examination like the ACTs or SATs. Both full-time and part-time programs are.
