University of Missouri
University of Missouri Health Systems School of Health Professions, located in Columbia, offers both a bachelor's degree of health science and a master of health science in diagnostic medical ultrasound. This school provides Missourians a unique opportunity as this is the only school in the nation that grants master's degrees in ultrasound. Throughout the course of these full-time programs, students partake in clinical rotations in Columbia and its surrounding areas.
In order to be considered for admission to the program, undergraduate applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and a minimum ACT score of 22. Graduate applicants are required to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and have their GRE scores on file at the university's admissions office.

Cox Health Systems
Located in Springfield is Cox Health Systems School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The school offers a full-time, 19-month program. Classes meet during the daytime hours Monday through Friday. Classroom study includes education in vascular technology, obstetrics, gynecology and neurosonography. Upon completion of rigorous classroom training, students partake in clinical rotations to allow them to practice the clinical skills they have learned in the classroom.

Sanford-Brown College - Fenton
Sanford-Brown College's Fenton campus offers a full-time associate of applied science in diagnostic medical sonography program. The program consists of three main components: classroom lecture, imaging in the on-campus laboratory and clinical rotations at medical facilities. Students receive thorough education in sonographic patterns of organs, laboratory procedures and protocols for surveying organs.
In order to be considered for acceptance into the program, applicants must be at least 18 years old, have earned a high school diploma or GED and have prior experience in a health care field.
