Bachelor Degree Programs In Radiologic Technology

By 2009, 35 radiologic technology bachelor's degree programs received accreditation.


Earning an associate degree in radiologic technology is the most common way to obtain an education to be a radiologic technician or technologist. In 2009, 397 associate degree programs were accredited in comparison to 35 bachelor's degree programs. The bachelor's degree programs in radiologic technology include classroom instruction and clinical experiences at a more advanced level than an associate degree program, and can help move your career forward.


Trocaire College


Trocaire College has a bachelor of science degree program in radiologic technology that is designed to prepare entry-level radiologic technologists for positions such as computed tomography (CT) specialists. Students who have already completed two years of study in radiologic technology can complete this program in two years and will take courses that include advanced sectional anatomy, computer tomography procedure protocols and concepts of pharmacology.

Fairleigh Dickinson University


Fairleigh Dickinson University's radiologic technology bachelor's degree program is for students who are new to the field or have earned an associate degree, diploma or certificate in radiography. Courses can be completed on a part-time schedule in four to five years. Students will take courses that include human anatomy and physiology, fundamentals of patient care, radiographic procedures and physics for radiography.

Wayne State University


Wayne State University has a bachelor's degree program in radiologic technology that is the only accredited degree of its kind in the state of Michigan. This completion program is designed for students who have earned a diploma, associate's degree or certificate in radiologic technology. Students will take courses that include medical terminology, radiation physics and circuitry and radiographic pathology.

The University of Southern Indiana has a bachelor's degree program in radiologic technology that is designed for those who are currently employed as a radiologic technologist. Students will pursue the bachelor's degree completion program and may choose from three track options: computed tomography (CT)/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), clinical education or radiology management. Students will take courses that include critical thinking skills in radiography, integration of advanced imaging concepts and gerontology health care.
