Latch for doors that swing outward

I built an outdoor storage for my trash cans. Im having trouble figuring out what type of latch to use. Im probably making this harder than it needs to be, im sure. The problem I have is, the wooden doors swing outward. I tried using a gate type latch, but the doors kind of swing out on their own. So they swing open a bit until the latch stops it. Id like to find something that will keep the doors shut tight, so they dont come out a little at all. What type of latch should I be looking for? If these are double doors....I think the simplest solution would be to put a cane bolt on the second door. So you would use the gate latch and open one door...then lift the cane bolt. I had to do that with an old set of double doors at a building. The old internally mounted throwbolts in the edge of the door were shot...you could just push on the center and they would pop open. Your issue is the same...only in reverse. I agree with Vic. A cane bolt on one of the doors will hold it completely closed, so that the latch on the opposite door will close securely against it. Hmm ok. Here is a pic of what I got. For whatever reason, its just not clicking in my head on where the cane bolt should go. The cane bolt goes on the inside of the right-hand door. And if I may say...thats a darn nice storage area for trash cans! Thanks guys for the help. Thanks GunGuy. My first wood project. I get racoons and have a small garage as is so I wanted to keep the cans outside yet away from the critters. It didnt go too bad. Im not completely happy with it but I can blame myself for being a beginner and Home Depot for some poor wood selection. I tell you, its hard to find good, non-warped, straight wood sometimes. I know it is a moot point, now, but how will you keep the TG on the roof from leaking? Warping? I love the shed, BTW. Nice work......except for the leaky thingy. I realize this may be old by now, but did you ever consider spring loaded hinges? You can adjust the tension significantly.
