Soothe A Sore Throat

You can alleviate the symptoms of a sore throat with several easy home remedies


Changes in humidity, pollen count and the presence of a viral or bacterial infections are all common causes of sore throats. Additionally, smoking or breathing in harsh vapors can also make your throat sore. Thankfully, if you are experiencing a sore throat there are several home remedies available to help alleviate your symptoms. Below are some ideas to help soothe your throat and get you on the road to recovery faster.


Instructions


1. Mix 1 tsp salt with a glass of warm water. Gargle.


2. Crush 2 asprin and mix with warm water. Gargle.


3. Drink plenty of warm liquids such as tea.


4. Avoid acidic drinks as they can cause more irritation.


5. Set up a vaporizer, especially in your bedroom, to help moisten the air.


6. Suck on throat lozenges that contain anesthetics. Hard candy will help in a pinch since it will cause you to produce more saliva to coat your sore throat.


7. Use an anesthetic throat spray to offer temporary numbing.


8. Stop smoking. If you smoke, stopping now will greatly help your throat.
