Surgical Tech Schools In California

Surgical techs must train in instrument sterilization procedures.

The field of surgical technology is expected to see employment growth of 25 percent by the year 2018, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The role of a surgical technologist is a key one during a surgical procedure, as they are responsible for the sterilization of both the surgery room and the patients. In addition, they provide the surgeons with their equipment during the procedure. Students in California have a number of options to pursue degrees in order to prepare for this growing career field.
