Cna Programs In Charlottesville Va

CNA programs start with learning about patient care.

There are several different options available for certified nurse aide programs (CNA) programs in Charlottesville, Virginia. You can enroll in adult education classes held at one of two nursing facilities. You can take a tech college course that offers a mix of classroom and hands-on work. Or you can apply for admittance to a CNA training program at a nursing facility, which will provide hands-on training. Upon completion of any of these methods of training, you must pass a state exam to receive certification.

Piedmont Virginia Community College

Trinity Mission Health and Rehab

If you're interested in getting paid while you learn to become a CNA, Trinity Mission Health and Rehab offers a five-week program. As long as you pass a background check, you have the opportunity to be hired as an employee, working Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. During that time, you get on-the-job CNA training. When the training is complete, there's no need to look for a job. You already have one.

Charlottesville Albemarle Technical Education Center

Mixing hands-on work with class work, the Charlottesville Albemarle Technical Education Center CNA course involves two classroom nights each week and one night for clinical, hands-on work. For that reason, the school requires that students provide a current tuberculosis test and fill out a criminal history form. In addition to standard patient care, other topics that are covered include safety, legal issues and nutrition. The CNA course includes 20 to 22 classes for $595.
