Big Apple Training offers several different health care programs, including a 10-week EKG/phlebotomy technician program. The EKG aspect of the class covers use and read 12-lead EKG machines. The phlebotomy aspect of the program covers drawing blood and preparation of samples for transportation or lab interpretations. Day, evening and Saturday class options are available. Students can apply for a "pay-as-you-go" tuition payment plan.

Manhattan Institute is a career school that is located in New York, New York. At Manhattan Institute, students can enroll in a three-week EKG program offered during daytime, evening and weekend hours. While enrolled in the program, students cover topics such as vital signs, EKG equipment and EKG interpretation. Apply to the program in of three ways: online, in-person or by phone. Students need a government-issued identification and either a high school diploma or GED to gain acceptance into the program of their choice. New York Institute of Medical Careers is in Woodside, New York. NYIMC offers an EKG program that consists of 50 hours of classroom and hands-on training. Classes are offered during the morning (five weeks long), afternoon (eight weeks long), evening (seven weeks long) and on weekends (seven weeks long). Students take classes in anatomy and physiology, basic electrophysiology and 12-lead EKG, among others. Payment plans are available. To enroll in the EKG program, students need a picture identification, Social Security card and a high school diploma or GED.
