Radiology is a course focused on training students to perform diagnostic imaging examinations with X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and mammography. This field of health-care has been experiencing employment growth faster than the average for all occupations according to the 2009 Bureau of Labor Statistics. Medvance Institute


Medvance Institute, with 10 locations across the country, aims to provide health-care education and equip its students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in their chosen field. The school offers training in a medical environment in most of its programs and has several different financial-aid options available. The institute offers a program in radiologic technology on seven campuses where students learn about X-ray positioning according to standardized practices. Mountain State University


This university in Beckley, West Virginia, offers classroom-based education and distance learning programs to accommodate different student needs. The institution, which has undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degree courses, was established in 1933 as a non-profit university.
