First Sign Of Cancer

There are more than 100 varieties of cancer, with different symptoms and a number of different causes, according to James F. Balch, M.D., co-author of Prescription for Nutritional Healing. However, several warning signs are common to all types of cancer.

Indigestion

One warning sign of cancer is indigestion or difficulty swallowing.

Skin Symptoms

A sore on the body that doesn't heal or an obvious change in a wart or mole are both possible signs of cancer. Thickening or a lump in the breast or elsewhere on the body may also be a sign of cancer.

Cough

A nagging cough or hoarseness can be a sign of cancer.

Pain

When cancer begins to grow in the body and invade tissues, it may cause pain.

Weight Loss

While weight loss is more extensive in the later stages of cancer, it can also be present in the early stage of cancer. Weight loss can also be caused by a number of other health problems.

Discharge

Unusual discharge or bleeding may be a sign of cancer.
