Breast enhancement systems cater to those looking for a more curvaceous shape.
Many women would like to enhance their breasts, but are reluctant to resort to cosmetic surgery. Breast enhancement systems offer an alternative to the pain and expense of surgical procedures, although the claims they make are based on anecdotal evidence. Does this Spark an idea?
Pills
Breast enhancement pills claim to work by changing the level of hormones in the body, causing increases in breast size and firmness. A course of pills usually lasts about 30 days. Supplements also come in other formats, such as liquid tinctures and chewing gum.
Creams
Creams claim to work in the same way as pills, but the ingredients are targeted at the breast tissue and absorbed through the skin. Some regimes combine pills and creams to produce results more quickly.
Tissue Expansion
Some systems place gentle tension on the breasts to encourage the growth of new tissues. Users must wear a pair of domes over the breasts for 10 hours a day, for at least 10 weeks. A pump creates a vacuum inside the domes, which pulls the breast tissue outwards, leading to a permanent increase in size. The system is backed by some clinical trials.
Warning
Breast enhancement supplements are not as thoroughly tested and regulated as clinical products. Therefore they may not deliver the promised results, or worse, may cause adverse reactions in some people. Results also depend on following a strict regime, which can be difficult to fit in to a busy lifestyle.
