Create An Oral Health Flyer

New clients may be attracted by an oral health flyer.

Distributing a flyer is an excellent way to generate new clients for a dental office or teeth care health fair. Although everyone cares about the health of their teeth, there are a surprisingly large number of people who dislike dentist visits intensely. Because of and in spite of that fact, there are plenty of potential customers who need to know about your dental services and developing a promotional flyer is the way to create that awareness.

Instructions

1. Determine the strategy for your oral health flyer advertising. Consider strategies related to some customer benefit which your dental practice offers that others do not. List as many benefits as you can in five words or less on paper. Then, cull the list down to the strongest one, and let that one statement be your advertising strategy.

2. Design a rough layout for your flyer on 8-1/2 by 11-inch paper using a pencil. This paper size is standard for most finished flyers. Section off the paper into three or four blocks of key information. Block one for example is the placeholder for a headline; block two, your main copy points; block three, your contact information. Consider using bullet points instead of full sentences.

3. Design the flyer to get people's attention and spur recipients to action using word processing or design software. Determine what you want that action to be. Be sure to include motivating words like "Special Offer" or "Limited Time" to encourage quick action. Know what you want the end result of your advertising effort to be, in order to gauge if your flyer design is effective in achieving that result.

4. Develop a number of headline options and evaluate them to determine if they help elicit your desired response for the flyer effort. If more consultations is your business goal, a headline like "No Obligation Consultations" might be a great customer motivator. Create several options for the headline and choose the strongest for your flyer.

5. Move the various body block parts around to create a pleasing look and ensure logical flow. Your headline for example might be better as a tagline. Don't put too many bits of information on the flyer, as empty space on a page gives the eyes somewhere to rest when reading. If your business has a logo, be sure to include it, if space allows.

6. Put the draft layout aside for a few hours or a even a day and look at it again to edit and refine. Mentioning unique benefits such as special pricing or financing, special equipment or special services distinguishes your business and gives your dental flyer marketing teeth.
