Grants For Recreation Centers

Parks offer recreation for both children and adults.

Recreation and athletics are an important part of neighborhoods and communities. Every child and adult should have access to facilities that provide a place to live a physically active lifestyle. Monetary awards in the form of grants are available from various corporate and private organizations. The award amount and application process vary for each award.

The Anne & Kirk Douglas Playground Award

The Anne & Kirk Douglas Playground Award is available for public schools and communities in the Los Angeles area. The money can be used for rebuilding and revitalizing new and old playgrounds within the city. Interested schools and communities need to send an in-depth proposal to the grant agency. Applications are accepted year round. Applications received earlier will have a greater chance for funding as money is given on a first come, first serve basis.
