Lose Breast Weight

Losing weight from the breasts is difficult. Since it is impossible to spot reduce, women who want to lose weight from their breasts must be able to lose weight from their entire body. They must follow a diet and exercise routine. Either that, or they must be willing to undergo breast reduction surgery.

Instructions

Lose Breast Fat

1. Adopt a reduced calorie meal plan. Lose weight by eating more lean protein, such as fish, chicken and egg whites. Reduce the fat in your diet by cutting out butter, margarine, oils, and cheese. Eat complex carbohydrates such as whole wheat bread, brown rice and leafy green vegetables. Cut out starches that include white rice, white bread and corn. If you lose weight all over your body, you will lose weight in your breasts too.

2. Exercise aerobically 60 to 90 minutes a day. Exercise to lose weight all over your body, including your breasts. Do not try to spot reduce and lose weight in your breasts only -- it will not work. Try exercises like jogging and fast walking for the best aerobic benefits.

3. Lift weights for an hour, three times a week. Target both your upper and lower body. Working the muscles in your upper body will help firm your chest area and may improve the appearance of your breasts, but it will not spot reduce your breasts. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism and help you lose weight over your entire body, including your breasts.

4. Get breast reduction surgery if you would prefer to take action beyond diet and exercise. Prepare for a two- to five-hour procedure performed by a plastic surgeon. Be ready for a one-week recovery. Save for the surgery, which may cost $6,000 as of 2007 figures, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Talk to your surgeon about whether your operation would be covered by insurance.
