Arizona has radiology programs that prepare students for careers in radiology.
Radiology programs provide students with the education and training they need to become effective radiologic technologists. Under a physician’s direction, radiologic technologists perform medical imaging examinations for diagnostic purposes. Radiology programs are available in Arizona that prepare students for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists examination.
The Bryman School of Arizona
The Bryman School of Arizona has a practical technologist in radiology program that leads to an associate of applied science degree. Students who complete this program are trained as entry-level practical technologists. Students are required to complete an unpaid externship that takes 14 weeks and requires students’ participation for five days per week and eight hours per day.
In this program, students are taught about the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology as well as disease processes that affect the body systems, especially the skeletal and respiratory systems. Students also become certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
