CaringBridge connects loved ones during serious health events.
Creating a CaringBridge Website (see Resources section) for a kid with cancer is a great way to keep family and friends updated on health status changes in a personal, private manner. When families update their website, loved ones are able to log on to read the latest news on surgeries, treatments or even view photos. This eliminates multiple calls to the patient's room and nurse's station for status updates, which creates less stress for families by not having to re-tell the patient's condition to each person. In addition, patients benefit by receiving messages of love and support via the website.
