Choose a Bra After Breast Augmentation
Shopping for new lingerie after your breast-augmentation surgery can be a fun and exciting way to celebrate your procedure's results. Whether you are looking for something practical to wear underneath of your work attire or something sexy to wear for a special occasion, it is important that you choose the right size bra for your new breasts. A bra that is correctly fitted to your body can mean a world of difference for how you look and feel. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Wear a recovery bra immediately after your surgery and during your entire recovery process. Although recovery bras can feel ungainly and look dowdy and you are eager to display your new breasts in something more attractive, you must wear a recovery bra after your surgery. These bras are designed by medical professionals to give your breasts enough support without applying too much pressure. They will speed your recovery process and reduce the risk of scars from your incisions.
2. Get fitted for your new bras by a professional undergarment seamstress. Every store that specializes in selling lingerieand most department stores can offer you a complementary professional bra fitting. This will guarantee that you are wearing the correct size bra for your new breasts. Furthermore, if you now need a difficult-to-find size, these professionals will be able to special order it for you.
3. If you feel uncomfortable getting professionally fitted and want to find out your new bra size in the privacy of your home, use a measuring tape and start by measuring yourself around your rib cage just beneath your breasts. Make sure that the tape is level around your chest. Record the measurement. If it is an even number, add four. If it is an odd number, add five. This will give you your band size.
4. Measure around your chest at the point of greatest projection, which is probably your nipples. Keep the tape level around your body.
5. Subtract the band size from this second measurement. The number you have remaining is your cup size. The cup size is described as a letter and cup size increases one cup with every inch. For example, if your remaining number was 2, you wear a B, but if it was 3, you wear a C and so on. Now you have your basic measurement.
6. Try on many bras. Bras are not all manufactured with the same measurements, especially if they are larger than D cup, and you should never buy a bra you have not tried on. To check a bra's fit, put it on and fasten it at the loosest setting. Then bend forward and jiggle your breasts into the cups. The band should be level across your back, and your breasts should just fill the cup without either spilling over or gaping.
