Drug dealing
is a crime that impacts every major American city and small town on some level. To report drug dealing in your area, follow these steps.

Contact Law Enforcement Agents
1. Call your local police or sheriff's department to submit an anonymous tip. Request they not use your name before revealing anything. Get a firm commitment.
2. Submit a tip online to the FBI (see Resources below). The Federal Bureau of Investigation has a simple form that can be filled out and submitted through its Web site.
3. Contact your local citizen watchdog group like Neighborhood Watch or Crime Stoppers (see Resources below). If you are uncomfortable reporting drug possession yourself, ask leaders of the group to do it for you.
4. Report drug dealing anonymously using WeTip. Call 1-800-78-CRIME or make reports using the WeTip Web site (see Resources below). Tips are accepted 24 hours a day, and anonymity is guaranteed.

5. Ask about rewards. Often, law enforcement agencies may have the suspect on a "Most Wanted" list, so you could be eligible for a reward. Other agencies provide rewards upon arrest or conviction.
6. Organize a group of citizens to prevent further drug dealing and other crimes. Try Neighborhood Watch or Crime Stoppers.
7. Submit any tips or information only to trusted law enforcement personnel, advocacy groups or friends and family.
8. Check if an arrest has been made. Ask for any case codes or identification numbers when providing tips anonymously so that you can track law enforcement efforts.
