The Font On My Screen Is Small How Make It Bigger

If you experience difficulties reading text on your computer monitor, you can, by changing some operating system settings, solve that problem by increasing both the font size and the size of icons and images. On a Windows computer, a special application allows you to automatically adjust the font size used by your PC. On a Mac, the only option to solve that issue is to change the screen resolution.

Instructions

On Windows

1. Open your Windows Control Panel by clicking on the Start Menu and selecting the "Control Panel" shortcut.

2. Click on the "Appearance and Personalization" shortcut in the Control Panel.

3. Select the "Make text and other items smaller or larger" option under "Display."

4. Adjust the font size and the size of pictures and icons on your computer by selecting either the "Medium" or "Larger" option. The "Medium" option will increase the font size by 25 percent while the "Larger" option will increase it by 50 percent.

On Mac OS X

5. Switch to the Finder application by pressing the Apple and "Tab" keys on your keyboard simultaneously until you reach it.

6. Press the "Ctrl" and "F2" keys at the same time on your keyboard to open the Finder menu and select the "System Preferences" option in the menu.

7. Double-click on the "Display" icon to open it.

8. Select a lower resolution in the left pane to test it. Once you have found a suitable resolution, close the application.
