Save your X-ray images.
After you receive an X-ray from a doctor, you can often ask to keep the X-ray once the doctor no longer needs it. This allows you to keep the image for your own records, however, it is easy to damage the image, so you may want to convert it into a digital file. You can do this with any standard scanner and image editing software (such as Adobe Photoshop or CorelDraw).
Instructions
1. Power on the computer and the scanner. Open the scanner tray and place the X-ray image onto the glass bed, then close the scanner lid.
2. Launch the Scanner and Camera wizard. Cclick "Start", "All Programs", "Accessories", "Scanner and Camera wizard".
3. Select "Scan", then click "Scan" again and the X-ray scans into the computer. You may find the image is slightly darker than usual. This is because you do not have a bright light behind the X-ray. This is corrected in the photo editing software. Click "File" followed by "Save", then title and choose a location to save the document.
4. Launch the photo editing program you have on the computer, then open the X-ray image.
5. Select the "Contrast" option in the phone editing program (the exact location for this feature is going to vary depending on the program you have). Slide the contrast up. As you do so, you can see the white in the bones becomes brighter, and you can clearly see all the details on the X-ray. Click "File", "Save" and save the changes to the saved, digital image.
