The closest gay bars to Bremerton are in Seattle

The nearest forms of gay entertainment are to be found in Seattle, which has plenty in terms of bars, clubs and other events, from relaxed drinking at Bus Stop to rowdy karaoke at The Crescent Lounge. There is a direct ferry from Bremerton to Seattle, which takes roughly 45 minutes.

Red Star at Bremerton Eagles

Red Star is a gay club night that takes place in the upstairs part of the Bremerton Eagles bar. The event is on the first Friday of every month and features performances from DJs and drag queens. Red Star is the only event of its kind in Bremerton, with the nearest similar nights happening in Seattle. The $5 cover charge (as of 2010) goes to local gay organizations.

Double Header

Double Header is located in Pioneer Square, Seattle, which was once the center of local gay culture. It opened as a gay bar in the 1930s, and although it's no longer the hub of activity it used to be, the pictures of drag performers that fill the walls give away its past.

The Crescent Lounge

The Crescent Lounge is ideal for karaoke fans. It's a "rough around the edges" type of bar: the toilets are dirty and it gets very cramped. This venue is open every night and there is a happy hour from noon to 6:30 pm, then from 8:30 to 10:30 pm every day of the week.
