The two-year Radiologic Technology program at Grand Rapids Community College prepares students in specialty areas such as "Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Catheterization, Computerized Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Other related fields of imaging include Ultra-sound (Sonography), Radiation Therapy and Nuclear Medicine." Students complete coursework in protection, leadership, positioning and exposure, as well as a block of core courses in writing, communications and the humanities. Students attend clinical practicum with institutions within a 50-mile radius of the city. Students learn all facets of radiologic technology practice as they prepare for a career in the workplace.

Sanford-Brown Institute


The Sanford-Brown Institute in Grand Rapids offers a short-term, focused and hands-on approach to learning. Students enrolled in classes that typically last five weeks gain experience and training working with the specialized equipment that they will be using on the job.
