Xray Technician Programs In Canada

Canada has several X-ray technician programs.

Medical radiation technology is used extensively in the diagnosis and treatment of trauma and disease. The technicians who operate the complex equipment are highly trained professionals who must learn to master a variety of radiology tools and equipment. The ability to utilize the equipment safely and effectively does not come easily. Radiology technicians must undergo extensive training programs to achieve proficiency. Canada has several such programs

Fanshawe College

Located in London, Ontario, Fanshawe College offers a three-year diploma course in medical radiation technology. The program offers students a combination of classroom lectures and lab work. Fanshawe provides students with access to a digital state-of-the-art medical radiation technology lab so students learn on various pieces of equipment they will eventually be operating. The program includes a 52-week clinical placement at one of Fanshawe's affiliated medical centers.
