Avoid Cell Phone Radiation

All cell phones emit some radiation.

Debate surrounds the amount of radiation that cell phones produce, but all cell phones do produce some. Radiation can be physically damaging. And the more radiation you're exposed to, the higher the chance that you'll be affected. The best way to avoid damage from cell phone radiation is to use a cell phone without your hands, according to PCMag.com in a Nov. 17, 2009, article.

Instructions

1. Use a wired headset. A headset can significantly decrease radiation exposure to your brain. Wireless and Bluetooth headsets produce their own radiation, so avoid those and stick with their wired counterparts.

2. Use speakerphone as often as possible. Speakerphone reduces the cell phone radiation exposure you experience because you do not have to keep the cell phone near you to use it.

3. Use a cell phone radiation shielding case. This can prevent radiation exposure while the phone is in your pocket or clipped to your belt. It dissipates the radiation so that it doesn't go into your body.
