Radiology technicians use radioactive materials to create medical images and treat illnesses.
Radiology technicians use radioactive materials to create medical images of the human body for diagnosis and to help treat illnesses, such as cancer. The state of Kansas has a few schools at which potential applicants can earn an associate degree in radiology technology. Although all radiology technicians must obtain national certification, Kansas does not require them to apply for licensure or certification to practice in the state.
