International Physician Jobs

Physicians can fulfill needs all over the world.


All over the world people are in need of help. Whether it be financial or medical assistance there is always someone that could use a hand. No one is more capable of making a difference in the world than a physician. There are opportunities for physicians all over the world.


Doctors Without Borders


In January 2010, Haiti fell victim to one of the most deadly earthquakes on record. According to Khurak.net, the quake killed somewhere between 50,000 to 200,000 people and left thousands more in need. Doctors without Borders is one of the organizations that has sent many physicians into Haiti. They have had a staff of almost 800 in Haiti since 2008. Doctors in Haiti provide a number of services ranging from basic physicals to trauma surgery. There is a need for a wide variety of physicians as well including obstetricians, gynecologists and anesthesiologists.


AAFP


The American Academy of Family Physicians was founded in 1947 with a goal to advance the practice of Family Medicine. The AAFP sends doctors to countries in need to assist in giving medical attention to its population. One such country is Tajikistan. Tajikistan has a population over seven million people with around 20 percent of them living on less than $1.25 a year. AAFP doctors provide the people of Tajikistan with medical attention and examinations where they would otherwise not be able to afford it.


International Medical Recruitment


International Medical Recruitment brings doctors to the countries of New Zealand and Australia. There are many perks to working in either of these countries. According to the IMR site, doctors in either of these countries will have "less hours, better conditions, good pay, excellent training, and increased opportunities". Outside of the work place, the site also boasts of the "easy way of life" that exists in either of these countries. Terms for IMR are usually six to twelve months, but can be extended if desired or required. IMR has openings for all physicians of all specialties and of all age groups. Applicants are permitted to choose their assignment. Depending on experience, doctors in New Zealand and Australia usually make somewhere between $50,000 to $250,000. IMR stresses that due to the low cost of living in these countries this salary might take you further than in the United States.


S.A. International


SA International recruits people from numerous fields including medicine to work in Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries. Hospitals in Saudi Arabia have openings for a variety of different specialists including cardiologists, oncologists, and pediatricians. Doctors in the SA program receive a tax-free salary and are permitted to take six to ten weeks of vacation annually. They will also be given a yearly service award for their efforts.
