Sending a fax with Kinko's is an option for those without a home fax machine.
Kinko's, also known as FedEx Office, is a convenient option for those who need to send or receive a fax but do not have their own fax machine. The fax machines at Kinko's are self-service and can send and receive both domestic and international faxes, according to the company's website.
Instructions
1. Bring your papers to be faxed into a Kinko's near you. There are 1,700 Kinko's locations in the U.S. Kinko's also provides complimentary fax cover sheets for their customers.
2. Purchase a Kinko's pre-paid card from an employee at the front counter or at a self-service machine if they offer one within a store. Kinko's also offers the option of paying for your fax with a debit or credit card.
3. Insert your Kinko's pre-paid card or your credit/debit card into the fax card reader for payment. Fax prices are listed at the fax machine and may differ at individual locations.
4. Load your papers to be faxed along with the fax cover sheet into the fax machine. Most fax machines require the papers to be loaded face down, but if you have any questions about load your fax, ask an employee.
5. Dial the fax number and press send. The papers that are being faxed will slowly start to feed through the fax machine. If there seems to be an issue with the papers feeding into a machine, consult with an employee.
6. Wait for the fax confirmation page. Kinko's offers a fax confirmation page for customers to let them know the fax has been sent.
