Use Natural Estriol Creme

Many menopausal and post-menopausal women suffer the effects of decreased amounts of estrogen in their bodies. Hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, memory problems, aging skin, emotional changeability and lose of bone density are some of the common effects of low estrogen levels. Fortunately, there is a way to find relief from these troubles without using potentially harmful, synthetic estrogens to replace the body's decreasing supply. Estriol is a natural estrogen produced by plants---also known as a phytoestrogen---that is identical to the estrogen the body makes. It is available in a cream that is easy to use.

Instructions

Using Natural Estrogen Cream

1. Select a natural estrogen cream that also contains natural progesterone. A healthy female body produces several hundred times more progesterone than estrogen. Progesterone is no longer produced by the body after ovulation ceases, and is needed alongside estrogen to maintain hormonal balance and prevent estrogen dominance.

2. Look for a natural estrogen cream that contains black cohosh and red clover extract, plant--derived ingredients that supply beneficial phytoestrogens and relieve uncomfortable symptoms of low estrogen.

3. Choose a cream that contains natural progesterone derived from wild yam, which will balance the estrogen.

4. Avoid creams that contain synthetic preservatives called parabens, such as methylparaben or propylparaben. In some tests, parabens have been associated with hormone disruption and some hormone-related health problems. As you absorb what you put onto your skin into your bloodstream, it is best to avoid these potentially harmful ingredients.

5. Note the instructions for application on the packaging of the product you buy. Typically, you should massage about a dime-sized amount of cream, equal to ¼ to ½ tsp., into your skin once or twice daily.

6. For greater ease of use, choose a cream with a specially designed pump dispenser that releases the exact recommended dosage of the product.

7. Rub the cream into the areas of your body where the skin is softest---the inside or back of the thighs, the inside of the arms, the stomach, the wrists, the chest, the soles of the feet or the buttocks are all good places.

8. Rotate the areas to which you apply the cream, so that you do not apply it to the same spot every time.

9. Look for a cream that has the added benefit of containing ingredients that are good for the health of your skin, such as aloe vera, vitamin E or jojoba seed oil.
