Types
A staph skin infection may cause cellulites, and symptoms may include red skin that is painful and swollen. Impetigo is also caused by a staph skin infection, and symptoms may include a small blister, which becomes itchy and develops a crust.

Treatment
To ease symptoms from a staph skin infection, apply a warm compress on the wound for 15 minutes four times a day. This may help relieve pain and promote pus drainage from the infection.
