Pick A Breast Cancer Charity

Many people choose to support the fight against breast cancer by donating to charity. Many charities collect funds to put toward the research into breast cancer and the treatment of the disease. Since there are so many breast cancer charities, here is pick the charity that will receive for your donation.

Instructions

1. Use the Charity Navigator to help pick a breast cancer charity. This non-profit site rates each breast cancer charity and lets you know how much of your money will actually go toward the cause.

2. When looking over the list of breast cancer charities, pick only one or two to donate to. Larger contributions at fewer organizations make a bigger difference.

3. Consider donating to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. If you want an overall reliable foundation to donate to, this is the one to pick. Over 80 percent of their profits go toward research and educational programs.

4. Fund a mammogram. Charities like the National Breast Cancer Foundation use their funds toward providing women with free mammograms.

5. Look at the CEO's salary. Each non-profit organization must release the salary of its CEO. Most CEOs of breast cancer charities will make anywhere from $100,000 to $200,000. If the CEO earns a lot more than this, look into a different charity.
