Radiography courses in Denver are offered at community colleges, universities and health care facilities. Most of the programs are designed to prepare students for entry-level work in patient care and radiography. Coursework is comprised of x-ray imaging and processing techniques, and clinical training. Upon successful completion of their training, students will receive a certificate or diploma in radiography. Some radiography programs offer advanced training.
St. Anthony Central Hospital
The School of Radiologic Sciences at St. Anthony Hospital was founded in 1929 and provides training in various fields of medical imaging, including diagnostic imaging, diagnostic medical sonography, interventional radiology, and mammography and radiation therapy. Among other accrediting bodies, the School of Radiologic Sciences is recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). All of the programs in medical imaging are offered once a year in August and take 23 months to complete. Students in the radiography course are required to commit 35 hours a week to classroom and clinical training. Students who successfully complete the training receive a certificate.

Community College of Denver
The certificate course in radiography at Community College of Denver is the oldest and largest radiography training school in Colorado. The program is designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in the field of radiography. Students receive training in various medical diagnostic imaging techniques, such as chest radiography, angiography, heart catheterization and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In addition to classroom training, students gain hands-on training by completing the clinical portion of their coursework at hospitals in Denver.

University of Colorado--Denver
The Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado--Denver provides residency and fellowship training in radiology to future physicians. The department also offers specialized training in medical diagnostic imaging; areas of specialization include abdominal imaging, breast imaging, musculoskeletal imaging and neuro imaging. In addition to offering specialized training in medical imaging, the radiological sciences program is specifically designed to recruit non-clinical research candidates who work in fields such as cellular and radiation biology, image formation, quality and processing and radiation policy. Prospective applicants to the fellowship program must have a Colorado state medical license. Residents receive training at multiple clinical sites and hospitals affiliated with the University of Colorado.
