Many cancer charities accept donated vehicles. In northern Virginia, Breast Cancer Fund works with Donate For Charity, a company assisting charities and not-for-profit organizations in accepting car donations. The company handles all the relevant paperwork in connection with the transfer of ownership of your car to Breast Cancer Fund.

Donating is easy. Visit the Brest Cancer Fund or Donate For Charity website for detailed instructions (see Resources). Alternatively, you can use websites like The Car Donation Directory to find a breast cancer charity near you. Most charities pick up your vehicle and handle all related DMV documentation.
Benefits
By donating your car to charity, you are also eligible for a tax deduction. The deduction is based on the car's sale value, not its full value. Check that the charity you are dealing with has IRS authorization to receive tax deductible donations.
