Sonography Vocational Schools

Sonography academic and career training opportunities are available.

Sonography is a diagnostic medical procedure that uses high frequency sound waves to create visual images inside the human body. Unlike most imaging procedures, sonography is free of radiation and is used to examine the abdomen, breast, heart, prostate and female reproductive systems. Graduates of a diagnostic medical sonography program are eligible for the certification examination through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Careers are available in hospitals, clinics and medical imaging centers.
