Lose A Couple Breast Sizes

Problems are associated with overly large breasts. These problems can be physical, emotional or a combination of the two. Extremely large breasts can put stress on the back, neck and shoulders, and they may even pull the skeletal system out of alignment. Overly large breasts can draw unwanted attention, cause a woman to feel exceptionally self-conscious, and make it difficult for her to buy clothes that fit properly. Losing a couple of breast sizes can only be done two ways: naturally through diet and exercise or medically through breast reduction surgery.

Instructions

1. Take an honest look at your body. If you determine you are overweight, proceed to Step 2. If you determine that you are not overweight, but that your breasts are overly large in comparison to your overall frame, proceed to Step 4.

2. Begin a healthy weight-loss diet plan. Eat plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits and whole grains, but do not neglect the other categories on the food pyramid. Do not consume less than 1500 calories per day, as this may cause a slowing of your metabolism. The breasts are made up primarily of fatty tissue, so when you begin to lose weight, you will lose weight in your breasts proportionately.

3. Begin a regular exercise routine. Talk with your health care provider regarding types of exercises that will be most beneficial. Include both aerobic and anaerobic exercises in your routine. Aerobic exercises, such as walking and stair-stepping, increase your heart rate and burn calories more efficiently. Anaerobic exercises, such as lifting weights, help to build muscle mass. Both types encourage weight loss, which will come proportionately from the breasts.

4. Talk with your health care provider about mammaplasty, also known as breast reduction surgery. This procedure is major surgery and is usually done for health reasons, although it may be done for cosmetic reasons as well. This procedure involves the surgical removal of fatty tissue and skin from the breast, effectively reducing the size of the breast by two sizes or more.
