A document camera is another tool that business and educational professionals can use for presentations. A document camera can use live images from textbooks and 3-D objects as well as saved computer images. The camera is easy to use and should be a part of any suite of presentation hardware. While each document camera is easy to use, read and follow the instructions that come with your model.
Instructions
1. Locate the power switch. On some models, you need to raise the projection arm to automatically switch the power on.
2. Turn on the projection bulb, if your model doesn't switch on automatically. You may need to hold and press for it to turn on.
3. Rotate the head of the document camera to focus on the object you wish to display. Watch the attached monitor to check your progress. Use the rotate feature to rotate the image on the screen.
4. Press the zoom in/zoom out button to focus the camera. Most document cameras can easily pick up and display 8-point text as well as minute details on a 3-D object. In some cases your audience can view things hard to see with the naked eye.
5. Use the freeze button to freeze an image on the screen. Pressing the color button adjusts the color's brightness. The aperture controls the sharpness of the image. The iris control makes the object dimmer or brighter according to your settings.
6. Adjust the depth of field. This tool is helpful when you have a tall or thick object you wish to display.
Tips Warnings
The more resolution a document camera has, the greater the detail that is available for display.
