Cover Scratches On My Allure Flooring

Cover Scratches on My Allure Flooring

Allure floors look and feel like real wood, but unlike wood, these floors are waterproof. Allure floors are durable and resistant to scratches, but accidents can happen. You can cover the scratches on the Allure floor on your own, restoring it to its original appearance.

Instructions

1. Clean the scratched area by sweeping away any dust and debris. Not doing so may further scratch the floor as you begin repairs.

2. Pour some scratch remover made for Allure floors on the scratched area. Gently buff the scratched area by hand. This removes light scratches.

3. Fill in the scratches with one or two coats of a floor finish recommended for Allure floors. Apply the floor finish with a sponge mop or soft cloth. The first coat needs to dry for 30 to 50 minutes. When it's dry to the touch, you can apply a second coat if needed.

4. Apply more Allure scratch remover solution to any area with deep scratches. Hand-buff the area with Grade #0000 steel wool. If this doesn't cover and remove the scratch, you may have to replace that floor board.
